On yesterday's hike, I thought I saw an easy way to get on top of another ridge. I tried it out today. It wasn't so easy after all. It was an enjoyable hike.
I had the data logger set up to log location every 10 seconds. I hope that has something to do with why it shows my location jumping all over the place, and my altitude going below sea level. Or maybe it has something to do with limited satellite visibility in a canyon.

See the rock perched up there in the foreground? At first I thought somebody had put it there. There is evidence it has been there a long time, though.

This is the rock perched on a ledge. Rainwater has been dripping off of this side of it for so long, it has made a hole in the rock below it.
