It was such a pretty day today, I had to get out in the desert after work. I couldn't go far, since sunset was close. I went to a small hill at the end of Meridian road to watch the sunset.

The trail crosses a wash. Here it descends.

Then you go "upstream" a few feet. You can see lots of footprints in the sand.

Then the trail goes up the other side of the wash.

A trail goes all they way around Pass Mountain. The park service says it is 9 miles long. It felt more like 11.5 the time I hiked it.
