Whenever a ship crosses the equator, the ship's crew have a tradition whereby any cruisers who have never crossed the equator before get smeared with brightly-colored food and tossed into the pool. Here is the arrival of the King Neptune's court.
All of the ship's crew and passengers eagerly await the arrival of King Neptune.
Well, while all the Pollywogs (first time equator-crossers) were getting mis-treated, we watched from above!
You have to kiss the fish before moving on!
King Neptune watches on while the Pollywogs get what they deserve!
It looks like a lot of people had crossed before...and were not part of the Pollywog crew that got the royal treatment!
Yet, another Pollywog kisses the fish!
Well, even though she pulled back, she ultimately had to kiss the fish!
The whole ship turned out to celebrate the crossing of the Equator, and of course, the King Neptune court.
This is what happens to Pollywogs!
Yet, another victim succumbs to the treatment of the Polywogs.
Well, all that I can say is that I was glad that we stayed up high, away from all the action!
