River Mersey looking East
This is my local stopping off pub. It serves a good selection of cask conditioned ales.

Centre of Hale Village
Runcorn Bridge facing East
This is the only challenge on this ride. Ride up the 68 steps, negotiate 4 anti-cycle barriers and 5 switchbackes without dabbing. My record is 2 dabs
This is the highlight of Widnes. I call it 'dog shit alley' as the all the locals bring their dogs here to shit especially in the winter months when they can do it under the cover of darkness.
Spike Island
Taken facing east, the large power station is fiddlers ferry. It is a blot on the landscape. There surrounding area is flat and this feature can be seen in all directions for 20 miles.
Good to see that my hard earned cash that I pay the local council in tax is being put to good use.
Fiddlers Ferry Yacht haven
This is where I practice jumps and drop off's. I go early so I don't embarass myself in-front of the local kids.

Flat off-road ride from Warrington to Hale, using the trans-pennine-trail.

This is one of my local training routes. I do this route on a regular basis usually at high pace of averaging over 20km/h. Today I was doing this as a recovery ride after racing yesterday in the East Liverpool Wheelers cyclocross, so I had time to take some pictures.
