Go on, how does a board-walk over an exposed peat bog sound? Boring? Yes! But get this; we spent three days of our holiday here as quite simply it is a fantastic place to be. Remote and harsh, but utterly rewarding at the same time. On a rainy day the rain is whipped horizontally across the landscape. Give it a go. Our 5 and 7 year olds were happy - especially when the Viparous lizards came out and they could be caught easily.
There is a lovely visitors centre, a restaurant and a roadside frittes cafe that is fantastic.
Not too far from Spa-Franchorchamps for the F1 race or classic calendar.
