Rasmus gliding gracefully relaxed over the calm water, guiding me towards the seal colony.
Two infant seals resting on a barely visible stone. The other ten adult seals had just left when we got close enough for a picture, circling us and watching our every move ready to warn the youngsters.
The same two infant seals, curiously watching our approach.
Moving over open water towards the very small islands "Outer Egg Islets", which are national preserves for the local seabirds in the nesting period.
Arrived at "Outer Egg Islets", enloying the numerous and varied bird life at a distance.
Rasmus getting a better view of the bird life.
Arrived at "Nyord Harbour", a very calm island and sanctuary for stressed city people, where we would enjoy our food before going home.
A simple but enjoyable meal. Next time I'll stay for the night to appreciate the locals and their hospitality.
A sudden change of weather. The winds picked up and we set off for home.

On seal safari in danish waters. Seals are very shy animals, and difficult to get close to. But when they don't sense danger, they are also very curious. Thus in a slow moving kayak, you can be lucky to get rather close... if you know hvere to find them! My friend Rasmus knew where, so we set off on a wonderful summer day.
