Rolvenden school children are High Weald Heroes! We live in an area of outstanding natural beauty and we enjoy it. We are creating and sharing walks around our village.
We are very PROUD of our lovely church.
school walk 003 (Small)
We EXPLORE the beautiful countryside.
We EXPLORE and ENJOY the fields and the trees, many of which are oak trees.
We FIND OUT ABOUT why we have so many oak trees. In the past farmers would feed their pigs on the acorns.
We TAKE CARE OF the countryside and make sure that we shut gates and stiles.
We ENJOY seeing this beautiful garden.
We think that this tree is very old. We will FIND OUT ABOUT how old the trees are.
We EXPLORE the area but make sure that we are safe and walk on the path.
We can FIND OUT ABOUT the plants that grow around us. We know that this is growing to be a stinging nettle so we are careful not to touch it!
We ENJOY seeing animals and birds. We thought that these rooks looked like scarecrows with beaks! We will FIND OUT ABOUT other birds.
These are new houses that have just been built in Rolvenden.
This is an old house which is made of tiles and brick. We can FIND OUT ABOUT the different sorts of materials used to build the houses.
We TAKE CARE OF the local church-yard so that it is nice for people to visit.
We are PROUD of our school and ENJOY living in this part of Kent.
