Carol Sayer from Merinet.com wrote today : As we whizzed down a perfectly groomed Allamands run yesterday, with blue sky above us and nobody else on the slope, my skiing partner exclaimed “this is billionaire skiing!”. Indeed this week was extremely quiet. But today there were more people on the pistes. In Val Thorens there were short waitingtimes to enter lifts like Péclet and Plein Sud. Only this lifts bring you during the afternoon to the slopes in the sun. Again the whole day the sun was shining. The temperature did not come higher than -5 degrees. With sometimes wind it feeled like minus 10. On the higher slopes skiing goes perfect in excellent prepared snow. The lower slopes have modest snow cover and the snow is mainly cannon-produced and so tends to be a bit hard.
