[EN] Today we went on a half-day guided walking track to the Fox Glacier. The glacier is about 8 miles (13 kilometers) long and falls down about 8,530 feet (2,600 meters). It's one of very few glaciers to end just 984 feet (300 meters) above the sea level in a lush rainforest. This surrounding results in the terminal part of the glacier being covered with debris flown and washed from the sides of the surrounding hills.
