Before leaving Kilcrohane, Jerry led us up the Goat’s Path to the high point where we could see 3 bays: Bantry, Dunmanus, and Roaringwaters, and the Faerie Fort below us. Returning to Durrus, he then drove us to the very top of Mt. Gabriel, with its spectacular panorama. Coming down the mountain we were surprised by a film crew making a movie on the narrow road. Later we drove on to Killarney, a glorious ride through 2 mountain groups, and the towns of Bantry, Glengarriff and Kenmare, until we sighted the deep blue Killarney lakes, and continued on down to the town for the next 3 nights.
