The Trailhead
From here up, up and away, up the trail.
Just Starting out
At the trail's mount, there were a few students from USC in front.
The Objective
If you look closely, you can see the Hollywood Sign. This trail is also shared with horses from a near-by stable.
You made it!
This sign was a bit misleading though. I'm not even half way to my goal yet. :)
There is it is!!
Yupp, you guessed it: The famous Hollywood Sign
A view of Los Angeles
I had hiked a little of this trail before, so this shot is from that day. Unfortunately, when I hiked it today, there was a lot of fog so I couldn't get any good distance shots.
Forest Lawn Cemetery
From a distance, the Forest Lawn Cemetery looking across the valley. The most recent person to be buried here recently was Michael Jackson.
At the top
You can't actually walk up-close to touch o be anywhere near the Hollywood Sign anymore, because there's railing, fences, and security cameras around its perimeters. I didn't mind; just seeing it after the long hike was worth every minute.
The Gate and Cameras
The perimeter's cameras and gate up-close.
The Hollywood Reservoir
Up here, you can see across the valley toward the north, and looking over my shoulder Hollywood and environs.
No hiking allowed to the Hollywood Sign
Ben there done that. Nuff said!
The open road
Scenic picture.
Roots in the mountainside
Nothing stops Mother Nature. She keeps going and growing, even without much rain.
Not the Real Trail
These people were walking on an unauthorized trail toward the Hollywood Sign. From the look of it, they were having a little difficulty, however, in the end, they made it.
The Entrance
Don't ask me why I took this shot at the end, rather than the beginning, nonetheless, here is where the Bronson Canyon Trail starts. There's a small parking lot about 25 feet from this location.
