Just right when we planned to go on looking for a hostel for tonight's stay after our little casual feast of pig knuckle, something seemed to be wrong with our car (it trembled a little when braked). To be safe, we stopped by a auto to get a quick check-up. After the mechanic's detailed examination, the possible cause might be due to a rusted brake pad, and it could be quickly fixed up by cleaning up the rust. What a big relieve, and thank god!
Passing by South Bay, we finally arrived at Kenting main street, checking with every resort/hostel one after another, comparing their price, location, geographical functionality and etc., and at last decided to stay at Fai-Li-King Resort. The room we got was a vip penthouse, with a marvelous ocean view, all of which could be considered great luxury in day and night. Before our resort lay the beach while the back connected the Kenting's main street offering great convenience. The room style was simple and vivacious, which made you so relaxed. The bath tub consisted of small pieces of colorful tile, which would make girls scream and yell out "ka-wa-yi"–meaning "cute" in Japanese.
We rushed to the beach for a glimpse of the Kenting ocean before sunset, surfed over the beach, and chased after pagurian for fun, all of which felt so Kenting!!
Putting ourselves together after that little fantasy of shooting an MV on the beach, we went back to the hotel to get ourselves showered up and refreshed, and then we hit the main street for food. After long starving while walking on the street without a target place to go, we might as well just bought some lamb stick and frying buns to serve our rumbling stomach. Finally, we decided to settle at Cloud Home for some Thai food. Mainly we just wanted to try a Thai restaurant different from White Sand Beach where we tried last year. Luckily, it didn't disappoint me at our first tryout.
The Kenting main street in summer time is always crowded with people, walking in flip flops and top off, expressing themselves without cultural boundaries. If you're lucky, you might even see spicy girls in bikini swimsuit, and that would definitely put out the heat of summer, and feed your eyes with ice cream kind of freeze (probably uniquely beneficial for guys)...hahha...
After a satisfactory feast, we returned to our hostel and had a casual chat leaning on the balcony. This is truly a quality vacation.
On the way to Kenting, the car brake felt a little dull. To be safe, we stopped by an auto shop to get a quick checkup. Good thing it wasn’t a big problem, and could be fixed up by cleaning up the rust very quickly.
"Chilly Tea Station" Is Everywhere
In such a hot weather, having a nice and cold drink is truly the greatest luxury.
Bluish ocean, blue sky, Kenting… I'm coming!
Marching onto Kenting's land along the coastline, we saw blue ocean and sky ahead of us, feeling so summer and relaxed.
The Blue And White Color-Toned Hostel
The Hostel built with blue and white paint base(the Mediterranean style that I like) on the way to South Bay could so much represents Kenting's style. It would look perfect to me if it could be added a little more Turkey blue.
(mm...what kind of blue is Trukey blue? I don't think I even know...@@)
The Earl Hotel
Located on Kenting main street in the Big Bay area, the Earl Hotel looked so majestically like a royalty. Even so, staying in a hostel seems more like a Kenting style when you come to Kenting, since hotels can be found anywhere. Thus, we didn't consider hotel stay at this momet.
The Kenting Seashore Hotel
Located in Big Bay area, the Kenting Seashore Hotel stood there in bright color tone, attracting summer's glowing breath.
The Howard Beach Resort in Kenting
Howard Hotel can be considered as a high-class resort. Although a little big distanced from the beach, its built-in swimming pool and many other facilities could somehow make up for this shortness.
The Chateau Beach Resort Kenting
The Chateau Beach Resort is one of my favorites among hotels in Kenting. It owns a private while-sand beach, which allows you to escape from the crazy crowd seen on public beach, while many of its facilities are offered complimentary, especially its unique swimming pool facing the ocean. I still can't get over it since my stay last year.
The Rear Mountain View
Even though every room in Chateau allows you to see this mountain view, I still don't know the mountain's name...
The Marbella House in Chateau
This could be considered a new building in 2nd phase, and its accommodation rate is relatively higher than others. However, ocean-view rooms in first floor also contain independent balcony, and we can just walk directly to the beach by sunset on bare foot. Having a couple of beers at night could really loosen you up. Beach, star, and beer are finally gathered up!
Filled with Foreign Affections
Within the garden, every building seems so lively with colorful painting, easy to be recognized individually.
The Lobby View in Marbella House
The lobby of Chateau is decorated with a French window, allowing for a complete eyesight of the ocean view within the hotel. It's a pity that all of the ocean-view rooms were taken that day, leaving us with no choice to find another hostel instead.
The A-Gong Resort Hotel
It is said that this is a hostel with the best room and accommodation rate. Except its 6-ppl room evaluated as less nice, this hostel could be a good choice for students.
